2006 Programs and Events

Many of our programs are held immediately following each month's PTA meeting. These meetings are held in the school auditorium at on the second tuesday of every month. Meetings start at 7:00 pm.

The Fall 2006 Programs are:

September 12 – Citizenship Night
Join in patriotic songs and essays about America, and what the privileges and responsibilities of citizenship really mean.

* Parents, please encourage your children to write a poem or draw a picture inspired by the songs America the Beautiful and This Land is Your Land. We will share these pictures and poems during the program.

October 10 – The Birds and the Bees, Revisited

A special program for parents only (chidcare will be provided at the school). Find out what your children are hearing and what you need to know to have that "birds and the bees" talk with your kids.

November 14 – Riverman Speaks

The St. Johns River has been in the news. Meet the Riverkeeper and find out what's in the river and how we can all help keep our river clean and safe.

* Parents, please encourage your children to draw a picture of the river and what they think is in it. We will share these pictures during the program.

December 7 – Holiday Gala

Our annual event where all the classes perform holiday-inspired skits and songs for their parents, the staff and community. It's a wonderful event and truly brings out the spirit of the season.
